    The purpose of this role is to manage and develop retained executive search business from key client accounts. To manage specific retained recruitment assignments successfully with the support of dedicated in-house researchers.

    Sharpstream Life Sciences is a rapidly growing company with ambitious plans to expand further. With offices currently in London and Philadelphia, there are plans to open offices in Shanghai (early 2008), Switzerland and the West Coast of the USA by the end of 2008. In line with these plans for further growth, we are seeking talented Recruiters to join our international and diverse London team of professional Search Consultants and in-house Researchers who have strong scientific and commercial knowledge. At Sharpstream Life Sciences we operate on the basic principles of team work, training and development.

    Upon joining our team, you will be provided with an intensive training programme which will ensure that you are equipped with the skills and industry knowledge to provide our clients with a high level of quality consulting service. Following this, you will have the benefit the guidance of internal experts and externally provided training.

  • Role Responsibilities
  •   

    Account Development

    • To develop business with existing clients accounts in conjunction with a Business Developer Director where necessary.  Where appropriate, to develop an account development strategy for a key client account.
    • To develop proposals for new assignments and agree contracts for executive search assignments.  To manage brief taking meetings with clients either face to face or on the phone when necessary.
    • To identify and attend key industry events such as conferences and exhibitions to build network of contacts and the image of the company.
     Client and Candidate Management
    •  To manage the day to day account activity including developing search plans and job descriptions, project execution and management, presenting shortlists, managing feedback and the interview process.
    • Using research prepared by a Resourcing Consultant, target potential candidates for assignments through headhunting, referrals and networking activities in line with client brief.
    • To instil trust and confidence with candidates so that they feel in control and informed at each stage of the assignment.
    • To interview and brief potential candidates for life sciences positions on the phone and face to face at times and places convenient to them. 
    • To produce reports and profiles to be presented to the client for suitable candidates.
    • To effectively manage candidate and client expectations during the recruitment process.
    • To arrange interviews and conference calls between candidate and clients ensuring that the highest levels of professionalism are maintained at all times.
    • To offer advice and guidance to clients and candidate so that both are able to reach the best decisions possible during the recruitment process.
    • To obtain feedback from clients on candidates interviewed for positions and when appropriate give feedback to candidates in a fair, sensitive and constructive manner.
    • To perform duties in line with recruitment best practice and the REC code of conduct.
    • To ensure that client and candidate confidentiality is maintained as appropriate during and after the recruitment process.
     Other
    • In conjunction with a Resourcing Consultant and / or an Associate Consultant, ensure that job advertisements are written and advertised, when appropriate, in the media and Internet.
    • To work to monthly income targets as set by the Managing Director.
  • Requirements
  •  

    • A proven track record in recruitment.
    • Experience working in retained search and/or contingency recruitment.
    • Experienced in filling permanent roles.
    • Exposure to recruiting for technical roles.
    • A track record of dealing with clients.
    • Experienced working to targets.
